Special Students: how to apply and enroll

Application

When to apply: January 27 to 31, 2025 (by 17h30, Brasilia time). Application via online form. Before applying, check the names of the professors who will teach your intended courses.

Enrollment

When to enroll: February 24 to 28, 2025 (by 17h30, Brasilia time)

Once admitted, you must pay the registration fee through a bank slip (see item "Documentation required for enrollment" below). If you are planning to register on the last day, please remember to pay the fee within bank hours, as scheduled payment receipts will not be accepted.
Next, submit your enrollment by sending the documents required in PDF format to [email protected] in a single email, as follows:

  • Make sure the scanned documents are legible. Use a scanner or document scanning applications instead of taking photos.
  • Name your files after the names of the documents. E.g.: Graduation Diploma, ID, etc.
  • Type “Special Student Enrollment” in the subject line. There is no need to write a message in the body of the email
  • Attach the documents listed below.

Documents required for enrollment

  • Enrollment form
  • Proof of COVID19 vaccination  (1st, 2nd and 3rd doses)
  • ID card (RG) (Brazilian applicants)
  • Diploma or any proof of completion of your bachelor’s degree including the graduation date (day/month/year), which must be prior to the enrollment date
  • Non-refundable enrollment deposit of 100.00 Brazilian reais per course. USP undergraduate students are exempt from this payment. Payment by “boleto bancário” (a payment slip to be paid at the bank). Click here to generate the slip. Please include the deposit confirmation.

International applicants
In addition to the material above, please add:

  • International health insurance
  • CRNM (National Migration Registration Card). You can schedule the registration at the Federal Police before your arrival in Brazil at www.pf.gov.br , click on Imigração > Carteira de Registro Nacional Migratório)
  • Passport page containing the Brazilian visa, type Temporary IV, Mercosul, or permanent visa
